The Hillsborough County Dental Research Clinic though not ADA accredited, has been around for 45 years and continues to look for residents who want to further their clinical expertise under the auspices of a group of over 120 practicing general dentists and specialists.
The program gives young doctors the opportunity to run their own practice, formulate treatment plans and refine their skills in a comprehensive care environment. The on site director, Dr. Manuel Vilaret, will provide guidance and recommendations while allowing the resident to be in control of their practice situation. There is no substitute for experience in the private practice setting and our clinic allows the resident to get this experience in low stress environment. We provide patients, a stipend, insurance (liability and health), great hours, generous vacation times, and allow you to search for the right practice situation without the time, pressure or restrictive covenant issues. By taking ten months to improve your skills, you will be better equipped to handle the pace of private practice. The program does not require a Florida License, as we are eligible to apply for Permits through the Florida Board of Dentistry. You must have graduated from an ADA accredited school and be eligible for permitting in the State of Florida which includes current CPR certification. We also provide time for you to take the Florida Boards as well.
